Through the snow

I arrived and all the land was covered in snow.

Snow is easier to walk through if someone has walked it before you.

You want so much but there is no time, only now, and the world is black and white.

White crystals lie like death over the branches.

Life ran away with blood on its fangs and death in its belly; the tracks led into the forest.

Home is where your blood pumps, like water through a city, fluid or frozen.

Frozen crystals will melt to drops, frozen earth to mud, and the world will blossom.

Blossom because of winter and spring into birth – but not yet, not now.

Now the sky is grey, not blue and yellow, and all I have is now, all I have is I.
